Walter's Perspective

2 Constitution Court was the very first waterfront high-rise in Hoboken. It was built in the late 1990s by the Applied Development Company, a large developer in the area. Its steel and concrete construction means minimal noise between each floor. As it was built in the late 90s, many of the units tend to have a late 90s, early 2000's style to them. As a result, the units tend to sell for less than what something at Maxwell Place or Hudson Tea would sell for.

What's nice about this is that you can acquire a unit for less than those other complexes and renovate them to your liking. And that's exactly what many people who've been buying at 2 Constitution Court have been doing. They buy the unit for less and then renovating it to their needs and style, putting in their own kitchen design, flooring and bathrooms. They are building custom condos on the waterfront.

The building is located on the Hudson River waterfront subdivision called the shipyard. This complex consist of about nine high-rise towers; however, 2 Constitution Court is the only condominium in this complex. All the other properties are exclusive rental buildings. Residents can an enjoy the convenience of having a little shopping center that's right in the complex. Although this shopping center is open to everyone who lives in Hoboken, it's most popular with those who live in the shipyard. The shopping center features a Kings supermarket, a liquor store, a daycare center, and a Starbucks. It's also home to the Hoboken Historical museum is there.

2 Constitution Court has a large fitness center and a 24-hour concierge doorman. Rental parking is available on site. No one in the shipyard owns parking so your only option is to rent parking on a monthly basis.

The building is right across from the 14th St Ferry Terminal so if you are commuting to New York via the ferry you can just leave the building and you are at the NY Waterway Ferry in less than five minutes.

Also the building is right along the waterfront walkway promenade. In the spring and summer times they have a lot of food trucks right there on the waterfront as well as an outdoor beer garden. It's a great place to like hang out after work and have a drink and listen to music.

It's also located very close some great restaurants like La Isla which is a Cuban restaurant located a block away at the Maxwell Place Complex. Its also very close to Hudson Tavern and City Bistro. City Bistro has a great rooftop bar. If you like brunch there is a awesome brunch restaurant called Turning Point. It's located in the complex. There's about 10 locations throughout New Jersey. It's always a very crowded place to get into on the weekends.

2 Constitution Court is located in the popular uptown Hoboken area. This area has seen enormous development in the past 10 years and many people put it on their hot list for places they want to live in Hoboken.
